The 50WQ03FNTRL is a Schottky rectifier designed for applications requiring low forward drop and small footprint. It has a maximum average rectified current of 5.5A at 50% duty cycle and a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 30V. The forward voltage is typically 0.35V at 5A and 125°C, with a maximum of 0.46V at 25°C. Reverse leakage current is 3mA maximum at 25°C and 58mA at 125°C. The device exhibits a typical junction capacitance of 590pF and a non-repetitive peak surge current capability of 320A. It is suitable for high frequency operation and includes a guard ring for enhanced ruggedness. Typical applications include disk drives, switching power supplies, converters, free-wheeling diodes, battery charging, and reverse battery protection. The device is surface mountable in a D-PAK (TO-252AA) package, with a junction-to-case thermal resistance of 3°C/W. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 150°C. The part is RoHS3 compliant and REACH unaffected.
Design engineers will appreciate the low forward voltage drop which reduces power dissipation and improves efficiency. The high surge current capability ensures robustness during startup or fault conditions. The D-PAK package offers a small footprint for space-constrained PCBs. The device is also avalanche rated at 10mJ, providing additional protection in inductive switching applications.
The peak repetitive reverse voltage (VRRM) is 30V.
The maximum average rectified current is 5.5A at 50% duty cycle with TC=136°C.
