The Molex 5051102891 is a 28-position FFC/FPC connector designed for compact, space-constrained applications. It features a 0.50mm pitch and a right angle surface mount orientation, making it ideal for low-profile PCB designs. The connector uses a bottom contact configuration with gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts, ensuring reliable electrical performance.
The connector includes a flip lock actuator for secure cable retention and incorporates zero insertion force (ZIF) operation, reducing wear on the cable and connector during mating. The housing is made of liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with glass filling, and the actuator is constructed from polyamide (PA) / nylon, also glass filled. Both materials are rated UL94 V-0 for flammability.
