The Molex 5051100497 is a 4-position, 0.5mm pitch FFC/FPC connector designed for space-constrained applications. It features a surface mount, right angle termination and a flip lock actuator for secure cable retention. The connector supports a voltage rating of 50V and operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to 150°C.
Constructed with a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) housing and polyamide actuator, both glass-filled for durability, the connector meets UL94 V-0 flammability requirements. The contacts are made of copper alloy with a gold finish, ensuring reliable electrical performance. Solder retention features aid in mounting stability during reflow soldering.
This connector is suitable for use with both FFC and FPC cables, with a bottom contact configuration and straight cable end type. Its compact height above board of 1.90mm makes it ideal for high-density electronic assemblies. The component is supplied in tape and reel packaging for automated assembly.
