The Molex 5034800800 is an 8-position FFC/FPC connector with a 0.50mm pitch, designed for right angle surface mount applications. It supports both top and bottom contacts and accommodates FFC/FPC cables with a thickness of 0.30mm. The connector features a flip lock and backlock mechanism for secure cable retention, along with a solder retention feature to enhance board-level reliability.
Electrical characteristics include a voltage rating of 50V. The contacts are made of phosphor bronze with a gold finish, ensuring reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. The housing is constructed from liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with glass filling, and the actuator is polyamide (PA) with glass filling. Both materials meet flammability ratings of UL94 V-0 and UL94 HB.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, making it suitable for a wide variety of environments. With a height above board of only 0.039" (1.00mm), this connector is ideal for space-constrained designs in consumer electronics, automotive, and industrial applications.
