The Edac 500-040-231-C01 is a ZD connector designed for hard metric backplane applications. It features a 40-position, 4-row arrangement with a 2.50mm pitch. The connector uses a through hole press-fit termination, providing a reliable connection without soldering. The housing is made of LCP+30% glass reinforced material, rated UL94V-0 for flammability. Contacts are phosphor bronze with gold flash plating on the mating area and matte tin plating on the solder tails over nickel underplate. The shield is phosphor bronze with nickel plating. This connector is RoHS3 compliant per EU Directive 2011/65/EU. It is suitable for high-density interconnection in telecommunications, data centers, and industrial equipment.
