The holder features an open construction with secure spring tension contacts for low contact resistance. The base is made of High Temperature Nylon 46, rated UL 94V-0, ensuring flame retardancy and resistance to industrial solvents. Contacts are phosphor bronze with flash gold plating for reliable conductivity. The operating temperature range spans -50°C to 145°C, making it suitable for harsh environments. Typical applications include computer memory backup, telecommunications, and industrial security systems. The part mounts via through-hole PCB with PC pin terminals, with a height above board of 4.57mm (0.180 inches). A battery release mechanism is included for easy battery removal.
