The Littelfuse 5.0SMDJ70A is a unidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 70V and a breakdown voltage of 113V. With a peak pulse power dissipation of 5000W (10/1000μs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 44.3A, it provides robust protection for telecom, industrial, and consumer applications.
The device features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage, low dynamic resistance, and a glass passivated chip junction. It is housed in a surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, minimizing PCB footprint. The 5.0SMDJ70A operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and is halogen free and RoHS compliant. It is also UL recognized under UL 497B as an isolated loop circuit protector.
