The 5.0SMDJ54A is a 5000W TVS diode from Littelfuse's 5.0SMDJ series, designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients. It offers a reverse standoff voltage of 54V and a breakdown voltage of 87.1V with a maximum clamping voltage of 87.1V at 57.5A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform).
This device features fast response time (<1.0ps), high surge capability (300A forward surge), and ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2. It is unidirectional and suited for telecom applications.
Packaged in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface mount package, it operates over -65°C to 150°C junction temperature. The part is halogen-free and RoHS compliant per datasheet.
