The 5.0SMDJ17A is a 5000W unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse Inc. designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 17V and a clamping voltage of 27.6V at a peak pulse current of 181A (10/1000μs waveform).
