The 5.0SMDJ12A is a 5000W peak pulse power TVS diode from Littelfuse, part of the 5.0SMDJ series. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events.
This unidirectional Zener diode has a reverse standoff voltage of 12V, a clamping voltage of 19.9V, and a peak pulse current of 252A. It offers ESD protection up to 30kV (air and contact) per IEC 61000-4-2 and has a fast response time of less than 1.0ps.
