The 5.0SMDJ100A is a 5000W unidirectional TVS diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It has a reverse standoff voltage of 100V and a clamping voltage of 162V at 30.9A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform). The device uses Zener technology and offers fast response time less than 1ps from 0V to breakdown voltage.
The device is ESD rated at 30kV air and 30kV contact per IEC 61000-4-2, making it suitable for high-static environments. It operates over a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and can be stored at -65°C to 175°C. Typical thermal resistance is 15°C/W junction-to-lead and 75°C/W junction-to-ambient.
The 5.0SMDJ100A is housed in a surface mount DO-214AB (SMC) package, minimizing PCB footprint. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and Pb-free (E3).
