The E-T-A 483-G733-J1M1-M6S5ZN-15A is a single-pole, miniaturized, aircraft-style thermal circuit breaker from the 483 series. It features a tease-free, trip-free, snap-action mechanism with push-pull plunger manual actuation (M-type TO CBE to EN 60934). An indicator band on the push button clearly shows the tripped/off position. The threadneck panel mount design is available in metric and US (MS 3320) configurations.
Rated for 15A continuous current, the circuit breaker offers voltage ratings of 115VAC (300-800Hz) and 28VDC. Interrupting capacity is 2500A minimum at 115VAC 400Hz and 6000A minimum at 28VDC (for the 1-25A range). The advanced two-chamber design contributes to fail-safe operation and is temperature compensated from -55°C to +125°C.
The device has a dielectric strength of 1500VAC between main and auxiliary circuits, insulation resistance greater than 100 MΩ at 500VDC, and an IP40 degree of protection on the operating area. It is approved under CSA C22.2 No 235 and UL1077 standards. Typical applications include aircraft systems, defense equipment, communications systems, and other extra low voltage wiring applications.
