The Adafruit BH1750 Light Sensor (Product ID 4681) is a 16-bit ambient light sensor module based on the Rohm BH1750 IC. It provides light measurements in lux from 0 to 65535 lux, extendable to approximately 100,000 lux with calibration.
The module communicates via I2C and includes a STEMMA QT / Qwiic compatible JST SH 4-pin connector for easy plug-and-play use. A voltage regulator and level shifters allow operation at both 3.3V and 5V logic levels. The board also provides a 0.1" pitch through-hole header for breadboard integration.
The sensor offers 16-bit resolution and is suitable for ambient light monitoring, display brightness control, and daylight sensing applications.
The BH1750 module operates at a nominal 3.3V, but is compatible with 5V due to an onboard regulator.
The sensor measures 0 to 65535 lux, extendable up to 100,000 lux with calibration.
It uses an I2C interface and is compatible with STEMMA QT and Qwiic connectors.
The BH1750 provides 16-bit resolution.
The module is listed as RoHS3 compliant, but this information is unverified.
The module comes as a PCB Module with through-hole mounting for a 0.1" pitch header.
