The 3M 4650-6200 is a 50-position IDC plug connector designed for use with 26-28 AWG stranded or solid wire, or ribbon cable. It features a 2.54mm (0.100") pitch and 0.100" row spacing, with two rows of male pin contacts finished in 30µin gold. The connector is terminated via IDC (Insulation Displacement Connection) and is intended for free hanging (in-line) mounting.
This connector includes latch lock/eject hooks for secure mating and a feed-through design. The housing is gray in color. It is part of the 3M 4650 series and is commonly used in a variety of interconnection applications requiring reliable signal transmission.
With its gold-plated contacts and IDC termination, the 4650-6200 offers good conductivity and corrosion resistance. The free hanging mounting style allows for flexible cable assembly without the need for additional hardware. The connector is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
