The L3 Narda-MITEQ 4563 is an inside/outside DC block (audio interference suppressor) designed for broadband RF applications from 0.5 to 18 GHz. It provides excellent signal integrity with a maximum VSWR of 1.35 up to 1.5 GHz and 1.5 from 1.5 to 18 GHz, while insertion loss is kept at 0.5 dB max (0.5-1.5 GHz) and 1.5 dB max (1.5-18 GHz).
This DC block features a voltage breakdown rating of 150 Vdc minimum and can handle up to 10 W of continuous wave RF input power. The SMA male to female connectors are threaded and the unit is designed for free hanging (in-line) mounting. Weighing only 10 grams maximum, it is suitable for compact and portable RF systems.
Typical applications include suppressing DC leakage from external sources, blocking audio-frequency interference in signal paths, and ensuring clean signal transmission in test setups, microwave communications, and instrumentation. The 4563 is a reliable component for demanding RF environments.
