The Molex 44828-1162 is a 16-circuit receptacle from the HandyLink I/O interconnect system, featuring a 0.80mm pitch and right-angle orientation. Designed for surface mount soldering, it provides a reliable connection for board-to-board and wire-to-board applications. The connector is housed in a black high-temperature thermoplastic with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating, ensuring safety and durability. Contacts are made of high-performance alloy with gold plating on the mating interface (0.051µm minimum) and tin plating on the termination side (2.540µm minimum). Each contact is rated for 1.5A maximum current and 30V maximum voltage, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The connector incorporates locking and polarization features for secure mating, as well as PCB locator and retention mechanisms. It is packaged in embossed tape on reel and is lead-free reflow capable, with a maximum solder reflow temperature of 245°C for up to 40 seconds (3 cycles max).
