This E-T-A 4230-T Series miniature circuit breaker (MCB) is a thermal-magnetic type designed for reliable circuit protection. It features a 3A current rating and supports a voltage rating of up to 480V AC or 125V DC across its three poles.
Designed for industrial and commercial applications, this MCB offers a high rupture capacity of 10,000A AC/DC according to UL 489 standards and 7,500A AC / 10,000A DC according to IEC/EN 60947-2. It meets insulation coordination requirements for overvoltage category III and pollution degree 3.
The unit is built for durability, withstanding shock tests up to 30g and vibration tests as per IEC 60068-2-6. It operates reliably within an ambient temperature range of -35°C to +70°C. The terminals are screw-type, supporting cable cross-sections up to 35 mm² with a maximum tightening torque of 2 Nm.
Mounting is facilitated via a standard DIN rail, making installation straightforward in control panels and distribution boards. The breaker also features a toggle actuation and visual status indication. Typical applications include protection of cables, motors, generators, transformers, and electronic equipment like computers and telecommunication systems.
The breker is rated for 480V AC and 125V DC. Additional ratings exist for different standards.
