The Teledyne H Series 422H-12 is a high-performance, high-temperature TO-5 relay. Originally conceived by Teledyne, this ultraminiature relay is designed for high-density PC board mounting and operates reliably in ambient temperatures up to 200°C. Special material selection and processing ensure freedom from contact contamination and mechanical malfunctioning under extreme temperature conditions.
This magnetic-latching relay features a DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) configuration. It is suitable for applications requiring low-level switching from dry circuit to 1 ampere. Its inherently low intercontact capacitance and contact circuit losses make it an excellent RF switch for applications in the UHF spectrum.
Typical applications include down-hole instrumentation in oil exploration and high-temperature industrial process control instrumentation. The relay is designed for reliable operation with specific coil polarity requirements and pulse width considerations to prevent it from entering a magnetically neutral position.
Environmental specifications include resistance to vibration up to 30 g's to 3000 Hz and shock resistance of 75 g's for 6 msec. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 200°C.
