The 405K100CB4G is a metallized polyester film capacitor from ITW Paktron, part of the CB series. It offers a capacitance of 4 µF with a ±10% tolerance and a DC voltage rating of 100 V. The capacitor features a low equivalent series resistance (ESR) of 7 mΩ at 500 kHz and a typical self-inductance of less than 4 nH, making it well-suited for high-frequency switching power supply applications. Its dissipation factor is limited to 1.0% at 1 kHz and 25°C, and the insulation resistance is at least 1000 MΩ.

Designed for reliability, the capacitor operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, with voltage derating of 1.25% per °C above +85°C. It passes standard vibration tests per Mil Std 202 Method 204D and demonstrates stable capacitance after life and moisture exposure tests. The component is self-healing and constructed for low impedance and low ESL.

The capacitor is packaged in a 6-SMD gull wing configuration with a 10.00 mm lead spacing. Dimensions are 11.40 mm length, 12.70 mm width, and 6.30 mm height. It is designed for surface mount assembly and can be used with pick-and-place equipment. Solder resistance peak reflow temperature is 220°C for 30 seconds for the -G suffix version.
