The Littelfuse 3KP8.0A is a 3000W transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 8V and a maximum clamping voltage of 13.6V at a peak pulse current of 220.6A (10/1000μs waveform). This unidirectional device uses a glass passivated chip junction for reliability.
With a peak pulse power dissipation of 3000W (10/1000μs), the 3KP8.0A offers fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 300A (8.3ms) and has a steady state power dissipation of 7.0W at TL=75°C. The operating junction temperature range is -55°C to 175°C.
The device is housed in a P600 axial leaded package with matte tin finish, suitable for through-hole mounting. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and lead free (Pb-free E3). The flammability rating is V-0 per UL 94.
