The Littelfuse 3KP20A is a transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 20V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 22.2V, and a maximum clamping voltage of 32.4V at a peak pulse current of 92.6A (10/1000μs waveform). With a peak pulse power dissipation of 3000W, it offers robust protection for a variety of applications.
This unidirectional TVS diode has a fast response time of less than 1.0 picosecond from 0V to breakdown voltage. It provides ESD protection of 30kV air and contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2, and is compliant with IEC 61000-4-4 for EFT. The device features a glass passivated chip junction in a P600 (axial) package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 175°C, with a steady state power dissipation of 7.0W on an infinite heat sink.
The 3KP20A is ideal for protecting I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic applications. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has lead-free terminals (Pb-free E3). It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with a standard quantity of 800 pieces.
