The 3KP110CA is a 3000W peak pulse power transient voltage suppression diode from Littelfuse Inc. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. This bidirectional Zener TVS diode offers a reverse standoff voltage of 110V and a maximum clamping voltage of 177V at 16.9A peak pulse current (10/1000μs waveform). It features a fast response time of less than 1.0ps from 0V to breakdown voltage. The device is housed in a P600 axial leaded package with through-hole mounting. It has an operating temperature range of -55°C to 175°C. Additional ratings include a peak forward surge current of 300A (8.3ms), maximum forward voltage of 3.5V at 100A, steady state power dissipation of 7W at TL=75°C, and typical thermal resistance of 8.0°C/W junction-to-lead and 40°C/W junction-to-ambient. The 3KP110CA is RoHS3 compliant and halogen free. Typical applications include general purpose protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics.
