The 3M 3549-1002 is a 24-position IDC receptacle connector from the D Ribbon wiremount socket series, designed for ribbon cable termination in Centronics-compatible applications. It features a free hanging (in-line) mounting style with IDC termination for 26-28 AWG solid or stranded wire. Contacts are copper alloy with 30 µinch gold plating over 100 µinch nickel underplating, housed in a glass filled polyester (PBT) shell rated UL 94V-0.
Electrical specifications include a current rating of 1 A, withstanding voltage of 1000 Vrms at sea level, and insulation resistance greater than 1×10⁹ Ω at 500 VDC. The strain relief is stainless steel, and the connector includes a housing/shell flange feature with 4-40 threads. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C.
