The 3M 3549-1000 is a 24-position IDC receptacle connector from the 3000 Series D Ribbon Wiremount Socket family. It features a free hanging (in-line) mounting style and uses outer shroud contacts for reliable connections. The connector is designed for use with 26 to 28 AWG solid or stranded wire.
Electrical specifications include a current rating of 1 A per contact, withstanding voltage of 1000 Vrms at sea level, and insulation resistance greater than 1 GΩ at 500 VDC. The contacts are plated with 30 microinches of gold over 100 microinches of nickel underplating, ensuring durability and signal integrity.
The housing is made of glass filled polyester (PBT) with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating, suitable for a wide range of environments. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C. This connector is RoHS compliant and accepts .050 inch round, flat or jacketed cable.
