The 3M 3548-1002 is a 24-position D Ribbon Wiremount Plug from the 3000 Series, designed for IDC termination to 26-28 AWG solid or stranded wire. It features a glass filled polyester (PBT) insulator with UL 94V-0 flammability rating and a gray color. Contacts are copper alloy with 30 μin gold plating on the wiping area over 100 μin nickel underplating, ensuring reliable multiple insertion/withdrawal cycles.
Electrically, the connector is rated for 1 A current, with insulation resistance greater than 1×10^9 Ω at 500 VDC and withstanding voltage of 1000 Vrms at sea level. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C. The free hanging (in-line) mounting style and center strip contact arrangement make it suitable for ribbon cable applications.
