The 3M 3474-0000T is a 10-position, 4-row IDC ribbon cable connector from the 3400 series. It features a 0.050" (1.27 mm) cable pitch and 0.100" (2.54 mm) row spacing, making it suitable for standard ribbon cable connections. The connector uses IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) termination for 26-28 AWG stranded or solid wire, and mounts via through-hole solder tails.
The contacts are made of copper alloy with a 100 μinch (2.54 μm) nickel underplating and a 200 μinch (5.08 μm) tin-lead finish on U-slots and solder tails. The insulator is gray glass-filled polyester (PBT) with UL 94V-0 flammability rating. Electrically, the connector is rated for 1 A current, 1,000 VRMS dielectric withstanding voltage, and insulation resistance exceeding 1 x 10^9 Ω at 500 VDC.
Operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C. The connector is designed for wave solder processes with a maximum insulator temperature of 191°C and a maximum terminated cable temperature of 160°C. The tail length is approximately 0.097" (2.46 mm) per the part number suffix. UL file number E68080 applies.
