The 3M 3433-5502 is a 50 position right angle through hole shrouded header from the 3000 series. It features a 2.54mm pitch and 2 rows with a row spacing of 2.54mm. The connector uses a 4-wall shrouded design with short latch lock/eject hooks for secure mating. Contacts are made of copper alloy with 0.76µm gold plating on the mating area and tin-lead or matte tin on the solder tails, over a 2.54µm nickel underplating.
Rated for 1.75A when all contacts are powered, with a maximum current of 5A for a single powered contact. The insulation resistance is greater than 1×10⁹ Ω at 500 VDC, and the withstanding voltage is 1000 VRMS at sea level. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C. The insulator is black glass-filled PCT with UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
The header includes a keying slot and mounting flange for alignment and secure board attachment. It is suitable for board-to-board or cable applications. The high temperature PCT insulator version supports 260°C soldering processes per J-STD-020C and has MSL Level 1 rating.
