The 3M 3428-5502 is a 20-position, dual-row header from the 3000 Series of four-wall headers. It features a 2.54mm (0.100 inch) pitch and row spacing, with a right angle through-hole mounting style. The male pins are made of copper alloy with a contact finish of 30 microinches gold on the wiping area, 100 microinches nickel overall, and tin-lead on the solder tails.

 

The insulator is made of glass-filled polyester (PCT for high-temperature options) in black, rated UL94 V-0. The header is shrouded with a 4-wall design and includes latch lock/ejector hooks for secure mating. It is designed for board-to-board or cable interconnections.

 

Electrically, the header is rated for 1.75A per contact when all contacts are powered, 3.0A with 6 contacts powered, and 5.0A with a single contact powered. It has an insulation resistance greater than 1 x 10^9 ohms at 500 VDC and a withstanding voltage of 1000 VRMS at sea level. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 105°C.
