The 3M 3421-6620 is a 20-position IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) receptacle designed for use with 26-28 AWG ribbon cable. Part of the 3000 series, this connector features a 2.54mm (0.100") pitch and 0.100" row spacing, making it compatible with standard 0.100" grid headers.
This free hanging (in-line) connector uses female socket contacts with 30.0µin gold plating over nickel, providing reliable conductivity and corrosion resistance. The contacts are made of copper alloy. It is rated for 1A current and 1000Vrms, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to 105°C.
The gray housing includes feed through, polarizing key, and strain relief features. Termination is via IDC method for quick, reliable cable assembly. The connector is bulk packaged.
