The 3M 3366-1001 is a 36-position IDC (Insulation Displacement Connector) plug from the 3000 Series. It is designed for use with 0.050 inch round, flat, or jacketed ribbon cable and accepts 26 to 28 AWG solid or stranded wire. The connector features a free hanging (in-line) mounting style and IDC termination, eliminating the need for wire stripping and soldering.
The contact system uses copper alloy with 30 microinch gold plating over a 100 microinch nickel underplate, ensuring reliable low-resistance connections. The housing is made of glass-filled polyester (PBT) with a UL 94V-0 flammability rating and is colored gray. A bail lock feature provides secure cable retention.
Electrically, the connector is rated for 1 A continuous current, with insulation resistance greater than 1×10^9 ohms at 500 VDC, and can withstand 1000 Vrms at sea level. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C. The 3366-1001 is RoHS3 compliant as confirmed by the datasheet.
