The Phoenix Contact 3240540 is a fully insulated female quick disconnect terminal, also known as a slip-on sleeve. It is designed for 14-16 AWG (1.5-2.5 mm²) wire and accepts a 4.8 mm x 0.8 mm male tab. The connector features a hard-soldered crimping zone for maximum conductor pull-out forces and an easy-entry design for reliable conductor insertion.
The terminal is made of brass with electrolytic tin plating. The insulation sleeve is blue, halogen-free, and provides full isolation. The overall length is 20.00 mm, with an insulation sleeve length of 11 mm and an inner collar dimension of 5 mm. Material thickness is 0.4 mm, and the recommended stripping length is 8 mm.
This connector is rated for operating temperatures from -20°C to 105°C, with short-term tolerance up to 120°C. It is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, halogen-free, and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
