The TE Connectivity 31886 is a PIDG (Pre-Insulated Diamond Grip) ring terminal designed for reliable crimp connections in demanding environments. It features a circular tongue for #8 stud mounting and accepts 16-22 AWG wire.
The terminal is made from high conductivity copper with tin plating per ASTM B-545, providing corrosion resistance. The insulation is nylon rated UL 94V-2, color-coded red for wire size identification. Operating temperature is 105°C and voltage rating is 300V. The terminal body includes inner serrations for maximum electrical contact and tensile strength, plus a metallic sleeve that crimps to the wire insulation for vibration resistance.
Part of the PIDG family, these terminals are designed for high-vibration environments such as industrial controls, lighting, power supplies, and transportation equipment. They meet UL/CSA and Mil-Spec requirements. The free-hanging (in-line) mounting style allows flexible installation.
