The 3180-3SG-324 is a 3-position female socket plug connector from Conxall/Switchcraft's Multi-Con-X series. It is designed for field installation with crimp termination and accepts #12 AWG contacts. The connector features a weathertight ingress protection rating and is rated for 600V operation over a temperature range of -40°C to 115°C.
The plug has a black polyamide (nylon) shell with a bayonet lock fastening system for reliable mating. It is keyed for correct orientation and includes a backshell for cable strain relief. The cable opening accommodates cables with an outer diameter of 0.240" to 0.270" (6.10mm to 6.86mm). Contacts are gold plated over nickel for corrosion resistance.
This connector is suitable for industrial, commercial, and outdoor applications requiring a durable, weather-resistant circular interconnect. The free-hanging (in-line) design allows for flexible cable-to-cable or cable-to-panel connections when paired with appropriate mating connectors (sold separately).
