The 30R500U is a radial leaded PTC resettable fuse from the 30R Series designed for overcurrent protection in low voltage (≤30V) applications. It provides a hold current of 5A and trip current of 10A with a maximum voltage of 30V and maximum fault current of 40A. The device trips within 14.5 seconds at 25A current. Initial resistance is as low as 10mΩ and rises to a maximum of 50mΩ after tripping. Power dissipation in the tripped state is 3.0W typical. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. The radial leaded package features a disc shape with lead spacing of 10.20mm and overall dimensions of 14.00mm length, 3.00mm width, and 25.60mm height. It is RoHS compliant, lead-free, and halogen-free. The epoxy material meets UL 94V-0 flame retardancy. Typical applications include USB hubs and peripherals, computers, motor protection, general electronics, and automotive. This resettable fuse eliminates the need for replacement after a fault.
