The Littelfuse 30KPA45 is a unidirectional transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient events. It is ideal for I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer applications.
Electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 45V, clamping voltage of 81.27V, peak pulse current of 391.5A, and peak pulse power of 30kW (10/1000μs waveform). The device features a fast response time of less than 1.0 picosecond and low dynamic resistance. It supports ESD protection up to 30kV air and 30kV contact per IEC 61000-4-2.
The 30KPA45 is housed in a P600 axial leaded through-hole package with a junction temperature operating range of -55°C to 150°C. Thermal resistance junction-to-lead is 8.0°C/W and junction-to-ambient is 40°C/W. The device is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and rated UL 94 V-0 flammability. It is also recognized to UL 497B as an Isolated Loop Circuit Protector.
