The 30KPA28 is a 30 kW peak pulse power transient voltage suppression (TVS) diode from Littelfuse, designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 28 V, a breakdown voltage range of 31.28 V to 34.41 V at 50 mA test current, and a maximum clamping voltage of 50 V at the peak pulse current of 606 A (10/1000 µs waveform). The device offers a fast response time of less than 1.0 ps from 0 V to breakdown voltage minimum.
This TVS diode is housed in a P600 axial leaded package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It can handle a peak forward surge current of 400 A (8.3 ms half sine wave) for unidirectional operation. The operating junction temperature range is -55 to 150 °C, with a storage temperature range of -55 to 175 °C. Typical thermal resistance from junction to lead is 8.0 °C/W and to ambient is 40 °C/W.
Applications include general purpose transient protection for I/O interfaces, VCC bus, and other circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics. The device is halogen free, RoHS compliant, and has a Pb-free E3 terminal finish.
