The Littelfuse 30KPA160A is a unidirectional TVS diode from the 30KPA Series, designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients. It features a peak pulse power dissipation of 30kW (10/1000μs waveform) and a reverse standoff voltage of 160V. The device clamps transient voltages to a maximum of 252.6V, with a peak pulse current capability of 120A (10/1000μs).
The 30KPA160A is based on a glass passivated Zener chip junction in the P600 axial package, offering a fast response time typically less than 1.0 ps. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C (per series datasheet) and features low dynamic resistance. The component is RoHS compliant, halogen free, and has a Pb-free E3 tin terminal finish.
This TVS diode is intended for general purpose applications and is suitable for I/O interface protection, VCC bus protection, and other vulnerable circuits in telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronic equipment. The through-hole P600 package allows for easy manual or automated insertion on PCBs.
The reverse standoff voltage is 160V.
The maximum clamping voltage is 252.6V.
Peak pulse current is 120A, tested with a 10/1000μs waveform.
It is through-hole mounted in a P600, Axial package.
The series datasheet specifies -55°C to 150°C for the junction temperature, though the existing database notes -55°C to 175°C.
