The Keystone Electronics 3012 is a surface mount coin cell retainer designed for 16mm diameter batteries. It accommodates a single cell from the 1612, 1616, 1620, or 1632 series. The retainer features SMD (SMT) tab termination and is suitable for PCB mounting. With a height above board of 3.96mm (0.156 inches), it offers a low-profile design. The contact material is phosphor bronze with a tin-nickel plate finish, ensuring reliable electrical contact and corrosion resistance. The retainer is supplied in tape and reel packaging for automated assembly. It is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited). The solder tails are located outside the retainer body, facilitating visual inspection of solder joints. The retainer is compatible with wave and reflow soldering operations. Its snap-in legs maintain position during soldering.
