The 2SA2205-TL-E is a PNP bipolar junction transistor from On Semiconductor designed for medium-power switching applications. It offers a maximum collector-to-base voltage of -100V and a continuous collector current of -2A (pulse up to -3A). The device features a low collector-to-emitter saturation voltage of -240mV maximum at -1A, enabling efficient operation in relay drivers, lamp drivers, and DC/DC converters.
With a DC current gain (hFE) ranging from 200 to 400 at -100mA and a gain-bandwidth product of 300MHz, this transistor provides good amplification and switching performance. The maximum power dissipation is 0.8W at 25°C ambient and 15W at 25°C case temperature, with a junction temperature rating of 150°C.
The transistor is housed in a TO-252-3 (DPak) surface-mount package, also known as SC-63, with the supplier device package designation TP-FA. It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 700 pieces per reel. The device is lead-free and RoHS3 compliant (unverified), and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited floor life).
