The 2N4014 is an NPN bipolar junction transistor manufactured by Motorola Semicondutor. It features a maximum collector-emitter voltage of 50V and a typical transition frequency of 300MHz. The DC current gain is at least 60 when tested at 100mA collector current and 1V collector-emitter voltage. The collector-base leakage current is limited to 1.7µA maximum.
This transistor is housed in a TO-18 metal can package (TO-206AA style) with through-hole mounting. It is suitable for general purpose amplification and switching applications up to 50V and moderate frequencies. The robust metal can package provides reliable performance in various environments.
