The ITT Cannon 2DD100S is a high-density D-Sub receptacle connector from the Double Density D series. It features 100 signal contacts arranged in 4 rows with a contact spacing of 0.075 inches (1.91 mm), allowing for a compact interconnect solution. The connector is designed for panel mount applications and uses crimp snap-in termination for reliable wire-to-connector connections. The shell size is 5 (DD, D) double density, with a steel shell finished with yellow chromate plated cadmium for durability and corrosion resistance. The insulator is made of glass-filled nylon, providing good mechanical strength and electrical insulation. The contacts are made of copper alloy with gold plating, ensuring excellent conductivity and resistance to corrosion. The current rating is 5A per contact, and the contact retention force is a minimum of 8 lbf initially, with a minimum of 4 lbf after 10 mating cycles. The flange feature is housing/shell unthreaded, suitable for mounting with screws. The connector has a weight of approximately 10.95 grams.
