The Littelfuse 2920L300/15DR is a PolySwitch polymeric PTC resettable fuse designed for overcurrent protection in medium-voltage applications up to 15V. It features a hold current of 3A and a trip current of 5A, with a maximum fault current handling capability of 40A. The device has a typical power dissipation of 1.5W in the tripped state and a maximum time to trip of 20 seconds at 8A.
This resettable fuse is housed in a 2920 (7351 Metric) concave surface mount package measuring 7.35mm x 5.12mm with a maximum thickness of 1.25mm. It is suitable for automated assembly and is compatible with standard reflow soldering processes. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
Typical applications include overcurrent protection in power supplies, battery packs, and general electronic circuits where resettable protection is preferred over one-time fuses. The polymeric PTC technology allows the device to automatically reset after the fault is removed and power is cycled.
