The 3M 2908-05WB-MG is a microSD card connector from the 2900 Series, designed for push-push (push in, push out) insertion and removal. It features a right-angle surface-mount configuration with a low 1.85 mm profile above the board.
The connector includes a card detection switch and is built with a high-temperature thermoplastic insulator rated UL 94V-0, copper alloy contacts with gold plating (15 μ″ min at wiping area), and a stainless steel cover. It is rated for 0.5 A current, 100 MΩ minimum insulation resistance, and withstands 500 V AC for one minute.
Operating temperature range is -25°C to +85°C, with storage from -40°C to +85°C. The part is compatible with reflow soldering processes up to 250°C (max 40 seconds above 230°C). The connector accepts standard microSD cards and includes a card polarization feature.
