The Phoenix Contact PT 2X2-BE (2839208) is a DIN rail mount base element for PT series surge protective plugs. It supports two separate 2-wire floating signal circuits with a bridge between connections 3-4 (GND) and 9-10. The base mounts on 35 mm DIN rail (NS 35/7.5 or NS 35/15) and has a black V0-rated housing measuring 17.7 mm wide, 89.8 mm high, and 52 mm deep. IP20 rated for indoor use.
Electrical connection is via M3 screw terminals with 0.5 Nm tightening torque. Accepts stranded wire from 0.2 mm² to 2.5 mm² and solid wire from 0.2 mm² to 4 mm² (24 AWG to 12 AWG). Stripping length is 8 mm. The base has a nominal current of 0.45 A and nominal voltage of 17 V per UL listing.
This two-piece design allows the protective plug to be removed for testing or maintenance while the base remains installed. Plugs can be checked with CHECKMASTER test equipment. The base element is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.
