The Wago 256-403 is a 3-pole PCB terminal block from the 256 Series with a 5.08mm pin spacing. It utilizes the CAGE CLAMP® connection technology, which allows for quick, tool-free wire termination via a push-button actuator. The terminal block is designed for through-hole (THT) soldering and accepts solid and fine-stranded conductors with cross-sections from 0.08 mm² to 2.5 mm² (12-28 AWG). The strip length required is between 5 mm and 6 mm.
Electrically, the 256-403 is rated for 24 A per IEC/EN 60664-1 (overvoltage category III, pollution degree 3) and 15 A per UL 1059 (use group B or C). The voltage rating is 250 V per IEC (cat. III/PD3) up to 630 V (cat. II/PD2), and 300 V per UL 1059. The rated impulse withstand voltage is 4 kV. The contact surface is plated with tin, and the housing is gray. The dimensions are 17.9 mm wide, 22.2 mm high, and 17.6 mm deep. The wire entry angle is 45° (135°) relative to the board.
