The Microchip Technology 24LC65-I/P is an 8K x 8 serial electrically erasable PROM (EEPROM) with a memory size of 64Kbit. It communicates via the I²C bus protocol, supporting clock frequencies up to 400 kHz. This device operates within a voltage range of 2.5V to 6.0V and is designed for industrial applications with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
Key features include a fast 900 ns access time and a write cycle time of 5ms. It offers 1,000,000 erase/write cycles for standard endurance blocks and up to 10,000,000 cycles for high endurance blocks, with data retention exceeding 200 years. The device is housed in an 8-pin PDIP package suitable for through-hole mounting.
This EEPROM is suitable for low-power nonvolatile code and data applications. Its features include Schmitt trigger filtered inputs for noise suppression and power-on/off data protection circuitry. Up to eight 24XX65 devices can be connected on the same bus for up to 512K bits of contiguous memory.
