The 243NQ100 is a high current Schottky rectifier module from Vishay, designed for reliable operation up to 175°C junction temperature. It offers a maximum reverse voltage of 100V and an average forward current of 240A under rectangular waveform conditions. The forward voltage drop is typically 0.72V at 240A and 125°C, enabling high efficiency in power conversion applications.
This module utilizes proprietary barrier technology to minimize reverse leakage at high temperatures, with a maximum leakage current of 6mA at 25°C and 80mA at 125°C. It features a low junction-to-case thermal resistance of 0.20°C/W and a typical case-to-heatsink resistance of 0.15°C/W, facilitating effective thermal management. The device can handle non-repetitive surge currents up to 3300A for a 10ms sine wave and 25500A for a 5µs pulse.
The 243NQ100 is housed in a D-67 Half-Pak module designed for chassis mount installation. It includes a guard ring for enhanced ruggedness and long-term reliability. The module is suitable for high frequency operation and is commonly used in switching power supplies, converters, free-wheeling diodes, and reverse battery protection circuits.
