The TE Connectivity 2301997-5 is a 2-port RJ45 modular connector jack with integrated magnetics, intended for industrial Ethernet applications. The jack supports 10/100 Base-T Ethernet with AutoMDIX and is suitable for both voltage and current mode PHY chips.
Mechanically, the connector has a right-angle (90°) orientation with through-hole solder termination. It includes shielding with an EMI finger to improve electromagnetic interference integrity. The housing is made of high-grade LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) with a UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. Contact finish is 0.76 µm gold over 1.27 µm nickel on copper alloy contacts. The jack includes board lock features for secure mounting.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, with a minimum of 750 mating cycles and 260°C reflow capability. Electrical specifications include a dielectric withstanding voltage of 2250 V DC. The connector meets IEC 60603-7-5 standards for 10/100 Mbps operation.
