The Wago 224-201 is a service connector from the 224 Series, designed for push-button actuation on both sides. It accommodates solid and stranded conductors from 0.5 to 2.5 mm² (16-20 AWG) with a strip length of 9-11 mm. The connector uses CAGE CLAMP® spring pressure connection technology for tool-free, reliable termination. Electrical ratings include 400V rated voltage, 24A rated current, and 4kV rated surge voltage per EN 60664 (overvoltage category III/III/II, pollution degree 3/2/2). It supports copper and aluminum conductors; aluminum termination requires WAGO Alu-Plus contact paste. The fully insulated gray housing measures 8 mm width, 15.5 mm height, and 42 mm depth, weighing 4.6 g. Side-entry wiring allows easy installation, and the connector is releasable. Packaging is in boxes of 50 pieces. Operating temperature up to 60°C ambient.
