Kyocera AVX 2225WC223KAT1A is a high voltage multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) with 0.022 µF capacitance and 2500V DC rating. The X7R dielectric provides stable performance over -55°C to 125°C with ±10% tolerance.
This capacitor is designed for high voltage applications such as snubbers in high frequency power converters, resonators in switched mode power supplies, and DC blocking or coupling circuits. The 2225 (5763 Metric) surface mount package features plated nickel and tin terminations that are RoHS compliant.
Due to the larger physical size, special attention is required during reflow soldering. The temperature gradient during heating and cooling cycles should not exceed 4°C per second, and preheat temperature must be within 50°C of the peak temperature reached by the ceramic body. This device is suitable for general purpose high voltage designs.
